My Teaching Philosophy with Technology Integration

As an educator I believe that technology enhances students learning when used correctly. Using technology would also help students to be more prepared for the world when they are older.

Children are always curious to know why things are the way they are. In my classroom technology will be used in different roles.

§  Students natural curiosity and quest for knowledge will be awaken. This will be done by giving students in class projects and problems to solve. Students will be provided with real world materials.

§  Students will learn how to create videos and montages to tell a story, provide information and help solve a problem. This would help students to become creative thinkers so as make their work to reflect themselves.

§  Students will be taught the safety and security on the internet. They would learn how to see different things on the internet. The real ones and the fake ones. This will be discussed further in class.

§  Students will use their text books but only occasionally. Instead they will visit the internet to search for related or similar topic. Using this type of technology will students to see things differently. The internet has animated graphics to help them understand various concepts.

§  Students will be taught how to find answers on google to help them find information.

§  Students will have easy access to the instruments in the classroom, e.g. I Pads, laptops.
